Exploring Life on Vancouver Island Again

I’ve been travelling and working on the road for 3 weeks now. I’ve slept at 5 different places, worked in my car, at coffee shops, recorded a podcast episode episode in basically a closest and enjoyed a cup of coffee while looking at a beautiful Canadian lake.

I feel a huge amount of privilege getting to do an “unnormal” lifestyle. It’s allowed me to support my friend prepping for a wedding weekend, taking a workout class at 12pm with others, pressure washing a house to support a family friend, while getting to pursue my businesses, sneaking in laptop time.

Last full update I gave you I drove through the Rocky Mountains (ughhh just so beautiful that view), and landed in Penticton. Otherwise known as “wine country” of the west. This spot is such a stunning hub of wine, cute coffee shops, a lake, mountains….there’s so many things to do! Which is why it’s on my radar for a pop-up coliving in May 2026!

I left there to drive to Vancouver, not before rushing the delivery guy to bring me YTF hoodie samples! 😮 Can’t wait to finalize them on the shop.

I spent a quick 3 nights in Vancouver joining our Coworking Club Co-Host Crystal at her picnic mingler, seeing a dance show for the board I sit on (and reconnecting with many old faces), while sneaking in a lunch + brand shoot for a client of mine. I felt uber organized for this Vancouver visit (for the first time) sneaking in a sushi date and coffee catch-up with old friends from university!

After what felt like a whirlwind I headed to Vancouver Island, just south of Nanaimo to stay with a family friend, breath in the ocean air and slow down the pace of life again. One thing your learn quick as a traveller is your social battery. As quick as mine can fill up, it can also burn out fast, and finding the flow to keep myself recharged.

Life continues on Vancouver Island for the next week, until next time!
