Strangers Are Just Friends You Haven’t Met Yet | Building a Pop-up Coliving

A crazy idea 6 months ago of getting strangers together, to live, work and experience a different region of the world… is happening.

The first Your Travel Pop-Up Coliving is in full motion.

The guests are incredible. They’re genuine, open minded, excited, curious and very understanding that a pop-up coliving comes with learning along the way. Planning weekends on the Monday, adapting to weather, seasonal offerings and one another’s professional commitments.

As a solopreneur this project has been the project to throw me the most curve balls. Handling negotiations, marketing, sales, logistics, lead generating and trusting that my vision would come to life, it’s  given me the most imposter syndrome (felt like a toxic rollercoaster relationship at times 😆).

I owe a big thank you to the many friends and family who were a sounding board, listening ear and impromptu colleague over the past 6 months. Helping me verbalize through the progress, brainstorming ideas and ultimately providing me support. I appreciate you 🫶🏻.

✨ Highlights ✨

  • Homemade pancakes, burek and apple cake from our apartment host 🥹

  • Seeing the mountains and the sea in the same landscape

  • Beach side runs with the neighbourhood doggies

  • Rooftop terrace workouts led by Coach Shandi

  • A walkable coworking space that lets us focus for hours with good coffee

And while you may think this is a trip or vacation it’s a reminder that digital nomad life is about exploring a region while maintaining routine, habits, learning about a culture whilst slowing down to be present with what you have around you.

Do you have any questions about colivings or the digital nomad lifestyle?

Ciao for now,

Anna

P.s. if you may be interested in a pop-up coliving in Canada don’t miss out here.

My foldable cutlery set and stuffable grocery bag have made grocery shops and packable lunches much easier.

📺 Watching

Love Island Games is my secret piece of home. This season is wild with people being shady to get to the end. Never trust Johnny, am I right?

How a Lululemon Facebook Group Led to 5 Years of Talking

We’re joined by Meggan and Jenn from the Travel Mug Podcast diving into the art of balancing a full-time job, a passion for travel, and the demands of podcast passion project five years intro production. Many giggles were shared talking about how the podcast began, why Meggan said yes to Jenn’s entrepreneurial spirit, how not owning a home or kids changes how you travel and is the future of the podcast still with two hosts?!
